At Black Chapel Choppers, we translate mechanical raw steel into functional V-twin artistry. Our Eight-Step process ensures every selection is intentional and every modification belongs to the machine. We work through a comprehensive written scope, requiring client approval for all changes. To maintain precision, we utilize milestone billing and provide consistent progress photos. Note that timing fluctuates based on component availability, build complexity, and specialized outside finishes.
STEP 01
CONVERSATION
We begin by defining the mechanical direction of your American V-twin. This initial meeting establishes your aesthetic goals and performance requirements.
STEP 02
INSPECTION
A detailed technical teardown and inspection of the donor motorcycle to ensure structural integrity and mechanical soundness for customization.
STEP 03
DIRECTION & SCOPE
We formalize the project through a written scope, finalizing selections for components, geometry, and stance before fabrication work begins.
STEP 04
MOCKUP & FABRICATION
Raw metal phase. We hand-fabricate fenders, tanks, and mounts, validating fitment and proportion on the frame before teardown.
STEP 05
MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL
Engine upgrades and electrical systems are integrated with clean, hidden routing, ensuring modern reliability within the custom chassis.
STEP 06
PAINT & FINISH
The machine is disassembled for final finishing. Multi-stage paint and structural coatings are applied to meet our high-contrast aesthetic standard.
STEP 07
FINAL ASSEMBLY
Meticulous reconstruction. Every bolt is torqued, fluids are charged, and the motorcycle undergoes rigorous systems and test-ride verification.
STEP 08
HANDOFF
Completion of the visionary build. Delivery includes full mechanical documentation and the transition of the machine to the rider.
